ADA/EQUAL EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY COMMISSION (EEOC) PROTECTION FOR DEAF AND HARD OF HEARING
Do you want a job? Do you know what your rights are under ADA? Did you know that the employer has to pay for an interpreter during an interview?? How quickly must a complaint be made with EEOC?? Detra Stewart and Brian Determan, Regional Specialists with the Texas Department of Assistive and Rehabilitative Services(DARS)
will help us to know our rights and answer YOUR questions!

EMERGENCY PREPARDNESS FOR PEOPLE WITH DISABILITES
Learn the three steps we need to take so that we are prepared for emergencies! We'll have speakers from the City of Houston, Red Cross, Centerpoint Energy, Metrolift, and the National Weather Service. We will also feature preparedness packs filled with information you can use to be better prepared!

Do you have computer limitations in vision, speech, movement, hearing or learning?
If so, come to HCIL and try this new technology out for yourself.
See demonstrations, try-out, learn and practice on some of today's most "user friendly" computer access equipment.
